With the recent release of the Nikon P7000 Coolpix, the competition has heated up in the advanced digital point and shoot category where to date the Canon G series has reigned supreme, specifically the Canon G11 which Nikon has clearly set their target on with the new Nikon Coolpix P7000.

Featuring the same rangefinder style as the Canon G11, with easy to use and access dial controls on top of the camera body for ISO, shutter, aperture settings and more, the new Nikon P7000 also offers a big 1.7 inch digital sensor with 10.1 megapixels for spectacular prints that look great even when printed poster sized.

The lens on any digital camera could be considered the most important feature of any digital camera and here again Nikon doesn’t disappoint . Offering high quality Nikon ED glass elenents combined with a focal length zoom ratio of 7.1x which translates to 28mm on the wide end and 200mm on the zoom or telephoto range this lens on the Nikon P7000 is much more flexible and with higher quality optics than you might find on cheaper digital cameras.

In 2010 there’s not many digital camera manufacturers that make the mistake of omitting the ability to shoot full HD video and again the Nikon P7000 offers full HD video recording a 720p. Sharing videos is easy too as all you have to do is hook up the HDMI port to your HDTV for easy connection and video sharing. Of course downloading your videos to your computer with the Nikon P7000 couldn’t be easier to do and allows for q uick and easy video sharing to popular sharing sites such as facebook and youtube

The Nikon P7000 is sure to please those looking for a digital camera that offers more setting flexibility and bigger zoom range than what can be found on most point and shoot digital cameras but still are looking for any easy to use and easy to carry digital camera as well.

I really love finding those moments around me everyday where I can capture a special moment with one of my flip cameras. There was a time where I never even gave video much of a thought and now, with such great technology, I shoot video almost everyday. I’m very heavy into social media like Facebook and Twitter. I especially like Facebook and meeting new friends online. I don’t think a day goes by without befriending someone new on Facebook. I think I may have found the secret to getting a lot more friends of Facebook also. I promise to tell you if you can keep a secret. Shhh…it’s video. Hey, I’m just kidding about keeping it a secret. I have definitely noticed that my friend count has gone way up since I started posting videos almost everyday.

Right now I’m using a Kodak Zi6 that I bought almost 2 years ago. I absolutely love this little mini flip camera. It shoots in HD and it’s just a little bit larger than my Blackberry phone. Of course my Blackberry also shoots video but it’s no where near the quality of my Kodak video camera. When I started carrying the Zi6, I started seeing opportunities all around me to shoot video. Just for the heck of it, I started uploading these daily videos to my Facebook page. I was amazed at how many people were commenting and telling me how much the loved watching my videos.

Now I’m really excited because recently, Kodak has announced the new Kodak Playtouch Video Camera. It’s definitely an upgrade and I can’t wait to buy one. The new Playtouch video camera has easy sharing to all of the social media sites. The screen is better and it shoots in HD. HD is the way of the future with video. Do you ever watch HD videos on Youtube? The quality is amazing. My order has been placed and I’m watching the door everyday for my Fed-Ex man to deliver my Kodak Playtouch. If you want a whole bunch of new friends to hang out with online. Get a flip camera and start posting videos just like I do.

The Canon Powershot S95 could very well be the best digital camera I have had the pleasure to review, especially when you consider the price and all that’s included in the Canon S95 as standard features.

The very first thing I want to point out on the Canon Powershot S95 is the lens as it’s my opinion this is the one feature that rises head and shoulders of the rest of most digital cameras on sale today. When Canon designed the S95, they included the fast f/2.0 zoom lens that made the Canon S90 such a great digital camera . This fast f/2.0 aperture lens is not only sharp thanks to the high quality optics Canon has been known for but also is very bright, meaning it will let in more light to the sensor than most digital cameras on the market today. This is important as with a faster lens, you don’t need to use flash which can be harsh and ruin what could be a perfectly good image. With the Canon S95 digital camera as your camera of choice, you can use the natural light for bright and natural looking photos just like a professional would make

Of course, a fast zoom lens is only half the battle when shopping for a digital camera. You also need a flexible zoom range as well and the Canon S95 does not disappoint with the wide angle settings starting at about 28mm which is perfect for shooting landscapes or when you need to get all your friends and family in the scene. The other end of zoom is approx 100mm which is perfect for shooting when you need to get closer to the action or tight portraiture such as at a wedding.

The Canon S95 is a modern digital camera that’s a constant best selling camera thanks to the fast zoom lens, 10 megapixels for great high resolution prints and HD video and image stabilization features second to none.

Digital cameras have totally transformed the way we take and view pictures. There is no need to process any film and the results are instantly viewable. Digital technology uses a sensor to record images rather than the old style reel of film. Camera technology is probably the fastest moving of all, and new designs and features come out almost every week. The main improvements have been in the size of the latest cameras. They are very compact and easy to put in your pocket, which makes them far more convenient to use when you are out and about.

Resolution is what most people look for when buying a new camera. A digital photograph is made up of millions of pixels, and the more pixels there are, the more detail there will be in the image you take. Some of the latest models have well over 15 million pixels, and this gives extremely clear images. You can buy them online at stores such as argos, or on the high street and any good electrical outlets. The choice is so great that it pays to shop around to find the lowest prices.

The memory available is also very important. If you plan on taking hundreds of pictures then look for a larger memory on your camera. The memory card slots into the back of the camera, and can be taken out to either print the images, or upload them to your computer. Many printers have memory card slots so you can print without the need of a computer. These cards are widely available, so if you need more space you can get additional cards. Taking movies will use up a lot of memory, as will the high definition cameras. Argos uk have a wide range of memory cards that are compatible with all the latest cameras. Check to see which type of card your camera takes so you get the right one.

Battery life should also be considered. Ideally you want rechargeable ones as they will save you a lot of cash in the long run. Newer cameras have built in rechargeable lithium batteries that simply require you to charge the camera when needed. If you follow these tips you should have no problem finding the right camera at the right price.

If you’re in the market for the perfect gift for your little girl, sweetheart or female friend, there is likely no better option than a pink digital camera. Although not all women are crazy about the color pink, chances are that someone special in your life is. In the world of digital point-and-shoot cameras, few other types have taken off like colored cameras have. This makes sense when you consider the need for people to express their individuality. Nothing attracts attention quite like the color pink, which is likely the reason that so many camera manufacturers have included a line of pink digital cameras within their product portfolios. Because there are so many different models available, shopping for a user friendly pink digital camera is easy. With that said, it’s important to keep some basics in mind before heading to the retailer.

1. Consider the Intended Use – most people carry their cameras around to snap quick photos of life’s daily events. While this is true, there are also people that desire something a bit extra such as HD Video, image stabilization or increased resolution. It’s important to know what the camera will be used for prior to purchasing it.

2. Stock up on some Basic Accessories – nothing is more important than protecting your purchase from potential damage, and nothing is easier than buying a protective case to prevent such damage. Digital camera cases are inexpensive and can provide protection from bumps and scratches. There are also many cases available in the color pink to match the camera.

3. Establish a Budget – you should expect to pay about $150-200 for a high quality pink digital camera, though there are models available above and below this price range. It’s critical that you establish your budget before even stepping foot in the store or browsing online. This way you will be less likely to buy on impulse or to purchase something you simply can’t afford.

A pink digital camera can be a great gift option for the special lady in your life, though it’s important to consider the simple tips above before making a firm commitment. Armed with these tips you will be more likely to purchase a gift that will really impress.

Nowadays in the field of photography, film is on its way out, and soon will be used only by some professional photographers who like the look and feel of film. The rest of us are buying digital cameras, and there is a bewildering variety to choose from. They range from very inexpensive “point-and-shoot” models which are light and very easy to use but allow you little or no creative control and produce photos that don’t look good when enlarged, to very expensive “DSLR” cameras costing $4000 or more. These can be very heavy, have a huge selection of settings many of which even very skilled pros will almost never use, and produce photos that can be blown up to poster size and still look great. So what should you choose? For the great majority of photographers, an excellent choice would be the Nikon D90.

The Nikon D90 allows you a great deal of creative control and produces images you can make big enlargements of like the most expensive and heavy cameras. However, it is reasonably light, it only costs about a thousand with a zoom lens, and, for those of you who don’t want to worry about any settings, in fully automatic mode it is almost as easy to use as a point-and-shoot. You can start using it this way, and you have a great deal of room to grow before you would start to feel a need for even more features. This camera is good enough that pros have no problem using it for shooting weddings.

All of these admirable qualities are present in a number of other cameras that cost about the same about, such as Canon’s Rebel 300D, but the D90 is the best of these. Nikon optics are the best, the number of lenses available is massive, and then there is the HD video option!
